Veronica is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes clearly and accurately how we handle your data when you use our mobile application and its health tools.

1. OUR CORE PRIVACY PRINCIPLE

We believe in collecting only what is absolutely necessary. Most features in Veronica work entirely on your device and transmit nothing. Where data is transmitted, it is processed transiently and never sold or shared for advertising purposes.

2. WHAT DATA WE COLLECT AND WHY

Account Data (via Supabase) When you create an account, we collect your email address and password for authentication purposes only. This is the only personal data we permanently store.

Drug & Interaction Reference Data (via Supabase) We maintain a database of drug interaction pairs within the application to power core app features. This data is not linked to your personal identity.

Subscription & Payment Data (via RevenueCat) If you purchase a subscription, RevenueCat processes your payment. We never see, handle, or store your payment details. RevenueCat's privacy policy applies to payment processing.

3. WHAT WE DO NOT COLLECT OR STORE

The following features are processed entirely on your device or transiently and are never stored on our servers:

Clinical Calculators All calculator inputs and results — including BMI, Body Surface Area (BSA), Water Intake, Estimated Date of Delivery (EDD), Safe Days, PHQ-9, and GCS Score — are processed locally on your device only. No results are transmitted or stored. All data is cleared when you close the app.

AI-Assisted Drug Queries When you submit a drug-related query, it is sent securely to our backend (BuildShip) which processes it using third-party AI services (including OpenAI GPT-4) and authoritative sources including the U.S. FDA, DailyMed and ChEMBL. Queries are processed in real-time and are not cached or stored after your response is returned.

Medication Label Scanner (OCR) When you scan a medication label, the image is captured on your device, transmitted securely for text extraction, and permanently deleted from our servers immediately after processing. Images are never stored, retained, or used for any other purpose.

4. MEDICAL AND CRISIS DISCLAIMER

All health-related outputs from Veronica, including PHQ-9 scores, Framingham Risk Scores, and AI-generated drug information, are for informational and educational purposes only and do not constitute medical advice.

Where the Application provides links to external crisis resources such as Find A Helpline, we do not monitor these platforms and are not responsible for their content or privacy practices. In a medical emergency, call your local emergency number immediately.

5. THIRD-PARTY SERVICE PROVIDERS

To operate the application, we work with the following trusted providers:

• Supabase — Account authentication and drug reference database. (Privacy: https://supabase.com/privacy)

• BuildShip — AI workflow orchestration. (Privacy: https://buildship.com/privacy)

• RevenueCat — Subscription and payment management. Privacy Policy: https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy/

• Google Play Services — Core Android infrastructure.

• OpenAI / Third-Party AI Providers — Transient AI query processing only.

We do not sell your data to any third party.

6. DATA RETENTION AND DELETION

We retain your account data (email and authentication credentials) for as long as your account remains active.

You have the right to delete your account and all associated data at any time. You may do so through the Application Settings or by emailing us at josephatakankunda7@gmail.com. Deletion requests are fulfilled within 30 days.

7. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

Veronica does not knowingly collect data from children under the age of 13. If we discover that we have inadvertently collected data from a child under 13, it will be deleted immediately. If you believe we have collected such data, please contact us at the email below.

8. SECURITY

We implement industry-standard security measures including SSL/TLS encryption to protect your account data in transit and at rest. However, no method of internet transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated through an in-app notification. Continued use of the Application after any update constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
